about
It watches the public pages of the YouTube channels you choose and writes down what changes — uploads, titles, thumbnails, view counts, the experiments YouTube runs. It is built by one person, it has no AI in it, and the things it cannot measure are left blank on purpose.
who builds it
Analytics4You is built and run by Dhruv Harsoda, working solo from India. There is no team page here because there is no team; you can read more at dhruv.vip.
That is worth saying plainly rather than hiding behind a plural. A one-person product means support is answered by the person who wrote the code, and it means the decisions on this page are decisions, not committee output. It also means the roadmap is short and the refusals below are permanent rather than “not yet”.
how the data is collected
Analytics4You does not use the YouTube Data API. It opens the same public pages you would open — a channel’s videos tab, a video’s watch page — in a real browser, and compares what it sees now against what it recorded before. Anything that differs becomes a timestamped event.
Detecting an A/B test needs more than one viewer. YouTube serves a single session one variant, so a probe is several browser identities launched cold and arriving independently; if they come back with different titles or thumbnails, that is an experiment and every variant is recorded. When the system is busy it probes less often rather than probing with fewer identities — cutting the number would quietly change what “detected” means.
Thumbnails are compared by perceptual hash rather than by file bytes, because a CDN re-encode is not byte-identical and would otherwise register as a change. The similarity threshold is frozen across the whole system, so an image hashed a year ago still compares correctly against one hashed today.
Everything the four views show is built from that one record, which is why a number on the watchlist and a number in the feed cannot disagree. The four views are described here.
what it will not do
01
There is no language model in Analytics4You. It does not write titles, rate thumbnails, summarise videos or tell you what to publish next. An earlier version had an AI growth plan and per-video summaries; both were removed, deliberately, because a generated recommendation is indistinguishable from a confident guess and this product is meant to be checkable.
02
YouTube gives a video’s age as “3 days ago”, not as a timestamp — so an upload hour derived from that is really the hour our scraper ran. We show the hour only for uploads we watched go live, and say so. A percentage over four observations is shown as the count instead, with a note. An A/B winner we cannot match against the video’s current state is reported as unknown. Missing figures carry their reason.
03
There is no OAuth step, no browser extension and no connection to your channel. Everything the monitor reads is a page any visitor can open, which is precisely what lets it watch channels you have no relationship with. It also means impressions, click-through rate and watch time are not available to it — those are private to the channel owner, and no tool without their login can honestly report them.
04
There is no testimonial, star rating, customer count or “trusted by” line anywhere on this site, because none of them would be true yet. You can check: the structured data these pages publish carries no rating markup at all, and it is not going to until there are real reviews to point at.
